Helmutz Landscape & Interlock is currently hiring for full-time Landscape Designer/Sales Representative specializing in Residential Hardscaping (retaining walls and interlocking pavers) to add to our talented staff currently servicing the Waterloo Region.

Job Responsibilities:

• Create landscape designs (combination of hardscape and softscape) using the CAD program DynaSCAPE with guidance from Senior Estimators
• Designs include projects with elements of interlocking paver driveways, walkways, patios, retaining walls, planting, and various landscape features
• Visit sites to measure and take grades with an assortment of instruments to create landscape designs
• Complete detailed and accurate designs, quantity take-offs and estimates. Prepare job costing packages to review internally
• Understand and apply construction methodologies to create practical and constructable landscape designs 
• Utilize surveys and interactive online mapping tools as resources to collect additional property information
• Analyze and interpret drawings
• Communication with clients addressing landscape desires and translating that to a design and proposal
• Coordinate with landscape crew members to ensure efficient and proper execution of landscape projects
• Provide assistance to Senior Estimators as required 
• Other duties as required

 Qualifications:

• Working towards Diploma/Degree in Landscape Design/C.E.T. and/or a combination of education and industry experience
• Familiarity with residential landscape construction projects
• Experience within the landscape industry; 2-3 seasons is preferred
• Provide portfolio/photos of previous landscape design work
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines at one time. Self-motivated and hardworking to set personal milestones to meet deadlines
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and solve problems independently
• Strong computer skills including MS Office (excel) and DynaSCAPE
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability and enthusiasm to interact with customers, suppliers, and team members
• Valid driver’s license with access to own vehicle
